Odisha KALIA Scholarship 2021

nder the KALIA Scholarship 2021, the Government of Odisha is going to provide financial assistance to the children of the beneficiaries of Kalia Yojana so that they can pursue their professional or technical courses. With the implementation of this scheme children of small and marginal farmers, actual cultivators, landless agricultural households will be able to access higher education. The scholarship provided under this scheme will be based on merit. All those students who are studying in medical, engineering, agricultural and allied, nursing, diploma and different trades in ITI in government institutions of the state can be able to take the benefit of this scheme. Beneficiaries can apply for this scheme from a common scholarship portal. Tuition fees, Annual fees, one-time fees, hostel charges, and any other fees deposited by the student will be refunded into the bank account of the beneficiary through direct benefit transfer mode.

KALIA Chhatra Bruti Yojana Scholarship Amount

Under the implementation of KALIA Scholarship 2021 government is going to extend the annual financial assistance of those KALIA Yojana beneficiaries who belong to the underprivileged section of society. These farmers will get Rs 20000 annually whose children are studying in graduation and post-graduation programs. KALIA Chhatra Bruti Yojana 2021 is in addition to the existing scholarships being availed by students.  The farmers whose annual income is 1 lakh per annum will be eligible for the KALIA Chhatra Bruti Scholarship scheme.

• They should be studying in government professional colleges on merit.

Benefits Of The Kalia Scholarship

The following KALIA Scholarship 2021 benefits will be provided in this scholarship scheme:-

• Scholarships will be provided to the children of the farmer for higher education.
• Odisha Govt will provide vocational courses to the children of farmers free of cost.
• The government aims to improve the level of education and motivate children towards it by giving higher education to the children of farmers under the Kalia scheme.
• Every child of the Kalia Scheme Beneficiary farmer will get free higher vocational education in various courses through state government-run colleges.
• The expenses of those students who have studied in government colleges on a merit basis and are children of farmers who are beneficiaries of Kalia Yojana will be borne by the state government. 
• 92% of farmers of the state will be covered under the Kalia Yojana Scholarship scheme.
• The government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 10,000 crore for this scheme for the welfare of children of farmers
• This amount will be spent in the coming (3) three years.
• About 30 lakh small and marginal farmers of the state will be benefited from this scheme.
• Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 will be given to each family for the Kharif and Rabi seasons at the rate of Rs 5000.
• Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also announced an interest-free crop loan of Rs 50,000.

Under the Odisha KALIA Scholarship 2021 , the ChhatraBruti Yojana government of Odisha will serve the Scholarship benefits to the children whose parents have been included in the KALIA Yojana beneficiary List. KALIA Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Eligibility Guidelines:

• The applicant should be the permanent resident of Odisha State.
• The children of eligible beneficiaries of Kalia scheme can apply under the scheme.
• The student pursuing for courses BSc, BTech, BDS ,BHMS, ITI, MBBS, D Pharma, GNM, ANM and other are eligible for Kalia scholarship.
• Both the student who are studying in graduation and post graduation courses are eligible.
• Applicant must have obtained admission in the government institution of the state on merit basis
• Those students who has taken admission on cost sharing/self financing/NRI cannot apply under the scheme
• If the student is getting any other scholarship then he or she is not eligible to take the scholarship (he or she can shift from existing follow ship to Kalia scholarship)
• Student can avail this scholarship scheme for only one professional course
• The families who belongs to underprivileged section of society will get the scholarship amount.

Odisha Kalia Chhatra Bruti Benefits & Key Features

• Under Kalia scholarship scheme financial assistance will provide to children of beneficiary of Kalia Yojana
• Through this Kalia Chhatravritti Yojana, farmers child can pursue higher education in professional and technical courses.
• The student must have obtained admission in a Government institution of the State on a merit basis.
• The students taking admission on cost-sharing/ Self-financing/NRI will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• The scholarship will be given purely on a merit basis to those who are studying professional/technical courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture & Allied, Nursing. Diploma and different trades in ITI in Government Institutions of the State.\
• Through this scheme tuition fees, Annual fees, one time fees, hostel charges and any other fees which are deposited by the student will be refunded into the bank account through direct benefit transfer mode
•  Fund provider under Kaliya scholarship scheme would include tution fee, annual college fee, one time College fees and hostel establishment charges, mess fees.

Disbursement Of KALIA Scholarship 2021

• For inviting applications the department is going to publish advertisements in the local dailies and on the website.
• No physical application will accept
• Students have to apply through the online portal
• Students are required to keep the copy of their application for their reference
• Student is also required to give consent on the the following points:-
  • Parents being beneficiary of KALIA yojana
  • He or she is not getting any other scholarship
  • Student is interested to shift from existing scholarship to Kalia scholarship (if he or she is availing any other scholarship)
• In order to get the scholarship student is required to fulfill all the prescribed conditions along with validation and authentication by the principal or head of the institution in online mode
• This scholarship will be paid by agriculture and farmer empowerment department through direct benefit transfer mode
• To get the scholarship student should have an active valid account in the scheduled bank which has electronic clearing system or core banking facilities
• The bank account should be in the name of applicant only
• Student is required to enter the bank and branch name, savings bank account number and IFSC code carefully during filling the application form
• Those applications which are not validated or authenticated by the institute within the stipulated time will be treated as invalid
